Oliver Royale Brunch Wedding – Cory + Matthew
Today we’re sharing a downtown Knoxville wedding that felt effortlessly them—set right in the heart of The Oliver Hotel and Oliver Royale on Market Square. Even with the buzz of the Dogwood Arts Festival outside, we found quiet nooks for portraits and soft, luminous light that framed Cory and Matthew perfectly.
One of our favorite touches? The thoughtful guest newsletters they sent leading up to the day—sharing their story, travel tips, and what to expect. At the reception, personalized details were everywhere: wine-cork place cards, elegant gold-accented menus and programs, and even custom coasters with their photos.
Brunch was made-to-order and absolutely delicious—think eggs Benedict, banana bread French toast, and bright, celebratory mimosas. During portraits, Cory surprised Matthew with a moment beneath the glowing Tennessee Theatre sign (cue happy tears). Their ceremony to “Marry Me” by Train had everyone misty-eyed, and the party kicked off with a surprise drag show featuring three stellar performers. Guests closed the afternoon with photos in front of a lush greenery wall the couple designed as their backdrop.
