Anne and Chris first met through a mutual co-worker shortly after Chris moved to Knoxville. Their first encounter just so happened to be on Thanksgiving — surrounded by Anne’s family — and it didn’t take long for a friendship to turn into something deeper. As their connection grew, so did their love for adventure, leading them to their greatest journey yet — becoming Mr. and Mrs. Hatfield.
A Smoky Mountain Engagement Adventure
A self-proclaimed outdoorsy couple, Anne and Chris love traveling together and spending time in the mountains of East Tennessee. When Chris proposed during a New Year’s Eve trip to Colorado with friends, they already knew where they wanted to celebrate their engagement — the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. Cade’s Cove offered the perfect sentimental setting for their fun and meaningful session close to home.
Wildlife, Land Rovers, and Sunset Magic
We met Anne and Chris just outside the loop entrance of Cade’s Cove, and immediately knew the session would be special — especially when Chris pulled up in his Land Rover, ready for adventure. Anne, who can identify birds by their call, and Chris, a national park enthusiast, brought an energy that perfectly matched the spirit of the Smokies. Their session featured everything we love about outdoor engagement sessions — golden light, laughter, movement, and details that reflected their shared passions.
