An Intimate Courthouse Wedding in Knoxville: A Luxury Take on Saying “I Do”

Sometimes the truest moments are the quiet ones. Just the two of you, a handful of loved ones, and a promise made timeless within historic brick walls. In Knoxville, a courthouse wedding isn’t about less — it’s about more of what matters most: the two of you, your vows, and the heirloom images that preserve it forever.

Why Couples Choose a Courthouse Wedding

For many couples, a courthouse ceremony is more than practical — it’s intentional. It brings:

  • Simplicity: No months of planning, no endless decisions.
  • Intimacy: Just your closest people or only you two — no stage, no distractions.
  • Focus: The vows, the laughter, the gentle moments that truly matter.

Elegant Backdrops, Effortless Romance

Knoxville’s courthouse architecture — brick archways, historic columns, and tree-lined walkways — is understated and timeless. The natural light filtering through old windows makes every portrait feel editorial yet honest.

Our couples often say their courthouse photos feel like something out of an old-world film: graceful, luminous, and brimming with genuine emotion.

Luxury Attention, Even for an Hour

At Juicebeats Photography, an intimate wedding receives the same white-glove experience as a grand estate affair. You’ll enjoy:

  • Full editorial guidance — delicate posing, honest candids, and fine-art curation.
  • Location scouting for timeless backdrops and hidden corners downtown.
  • Signature editing that feels luminous, refined, and truly heirloom-worthy.

More Than Just “A Few Pictures”

Choosing a courthouse wedding doesn’t mean settling for a handful of snapshots. Your images should feel intentional, artful, and full of story.

We often suggest a short portrait session after your ceremony. Knoxville’s historic streets and ivy-draped walls make a beautiful complement to your vows, adding layers to your legacy.

Small Celebration, Big Meaning

Your wedding doesn’t have to be big to be unforgettable. Some of the most moving moments are the simplest ones — the hush before your first kiss, the way you look at each other when the world falls away.

We believe your courthouse wedding deserves to be documented with the same discretion, care, and editorial artistry we bring to every luxury celebration.

Jason Messing

Who are we? We are Jason and Staci Messing, a husband and wife photography team based in Knoxville, Tennessee. We met in 2007, starting dating in 2008, and have been together ever since. We were married at the Capitol Theatre in Maryville in 2012, and our special day actually led to our interest in photography and inspired us to pursue our dream of owning our own business.  (See our wedding story here!)  Our family team grew when we had our sweet son, Jaden, in 2014, and he's already reviewing our photos for us.

What's our style? The adjectives we always used to describe our photography style are light, airy, natural and whimsical. We would say our job is to capture all the amazing moments of your big day so that you have a tangible memory of the people, details, and surroundings that make your wedding special. We essentially want your day to look like a fairy tale, and it's all about making even the ordinary exceptional by photographing meaningful and candid moments.

What about the name? Jason's business actually started as one centered around music production and video editing.  Juicebeats, his nickname as a producer and rapper, inspired our company name, originally Juicebeats Productions. In 2013, the business evolved into one focused on a new creative outlet, photography, and it was only natural that Staci jumped on board in late 2014 as the 2nd shooter/photographer assistant. We debated a name change (for 12 seconds) until we realized that Juicebeats is unique, memorable, and just us.
