Elegant & Rustic Black Tie Wedding at The Museum of Appalachia in Norris, TN - Anne + Chris
There’s nothing quite like having your wedding in the midst of a historical setting with beautiful animals roaming around the property (especially when the bride is a zookeeper). The Museum of Appalachia in Clinton, Tennessee, provides just that, and it was the perfect spot for Anne and Chris to say “I do.”
After adventuring with them through Cades Cove in their Land Rover for their engagement session, we couldn’t have picked a better spot for this nature-loving couple to celebrate their union. Although the Museum property includes rustic touches with the split rail fences, wooden cabins, and large barns, this couple’s wedding was characterized by sophistication in everything from the dress choices, to the floral, to the jazz band guests danced along to. Anne is such a natural, green-eyed beauty with amazing taste and an extensive knowledge of the animal kingdom while Chris is an easy conversationalist who dotes on Anne in the most adorable way. This really was a black tie affair from the guys fitted suits to the ladies’ black bridesmaids’ dresses with v-backs and long silver necklaces.
With a sunshiny day (as the rain held off until we were under tent cover at the reception), DIY elements (like the confetti they spent hours making thrown at the end of their ceremony), and so many elegant details, we are so thrilled to share this romantic Musuem of Appalachia wedding and down to earth couple with you today.
